At IgnitingTalent, we believe that the best way to explore your future is through hands-on experience. Our micro-internships are designed to help high school juniors and seniors, like you:

- Discover your passions
- Gain the skills you need to succeed
- Experience different careers to see if they are a fit for you
Whether you're college bound, unsure about your career path, or just very excited to start building your future (we don’t blame you!), IgnitingTalent offers the guidance, support, and opportunities to help you make informed decisions and set the foundation for a successful future and fulfilling career.
Why start this program?
Because not every high school kid knows what they want to be when they grow up.
How It Works
Discover
Start with a series of online assessments to discover your strengths and career aptitudes. Then, meet with a member of our team to choose up to three micro-internships and brainstorm potential career paths that align with your unique skills and interests.
Match
We research companies in your area that match with your career goals and reach out to potential Career Launchers.
If a business is interested, our team collaborates with them to create a tailored learning plan for your internship.
Begin
Once your learning plan is in place, you’ll begin your micro-internship!
Our team handles the logistics, allowing you to focus on gaining valuable experience and fulfilling Capstone requirements (if applicable).
During the internship, you will document hours worked with notes of what you learned each day.
Advance
At the completion of your micro-internships, you will complete a Reflective Essay describing your experiences. You will also meet with our team to debrief your assignments.
If you have a continued interest in a particular field, the IgnitingTalent team will help you advance by creating a pathway to enter the field.
Upon commitment to a specific career path based on one of your micro-internships, you’ll be awarded a scholarship through the JoeAbate Charitable Foundation.
